Lacrosse and Strange Encounters

I'm writing this from my aunt's place, since we decided to stay the night here and head back to Castleton in the morning.

Mom and I went to see the Toronto Rock (lacrosse) play tonight. Which was actually pretty cool. I don't really understand lacrosse, but I had fun. I really enjoyed spending the time with my mom.

We went to the Eaton center and then she dragged me down to Bloor and Younge and we just wandered. It's amazing how well she still knows Toronto even after twenty years. I asked her if she missed it and she said a part of her did, but that she wouldn't want to live there now. She's changed too much.

I had a lot of fun with her today, more than I usually do. Usually we're snapping and yelling at one another, but today we just got along. It was a lot of fun, different than shopping with Meg or Taela, but just as nice in it's own way.

Here's something weird, or at least I found it weird. There's this guy I knew in public school (more than one actually), who I hadn't seen in years. Or at least I hadn't, but now I've run into him three times in the past week, what are the odds?

He was at the same party I was at last Saterday, which isn't too big a coincidence, since he's a regular at Jesse's place, I think. I then ran into him at the store, which could have happened any time, though it hasn't before now. The weird one was that I also ran into him tonight at the Rock game. There were 17,000 people and I run into this guy I've known for years, yet hadn't seen in ages until this week. How weird is that?

I mean, it's not weird that I ran into him at the party or at the store, I often run into people I knew or used to know. Though, running into him at the lacrosse game is kind of weird, since the odds must be pretty high against it. No, the weird part is running into him three times in the same week after not seeing him for years.

I just thought I'd mention that strange occurence, since there's not much else of interest going on in my life. At least not that I can think of.
